The 3 Top Selling Games of 2007
Top 1: Halo 3
As the top game of the year, Halo 3 of Microsoft sold a total of 4.82 million copies in 2007, making it also the best selling Xbox 360 title of the year.
Top 2: Wii Play
Although the game itself received lackluster reviews from game critics, Wii Play still placed second. It sold 4.12 million copies which is 700,000 units behind Halo 3. Because of its inclusion of a Wii Remote controller, consumers continued to snap up Wii Play.
Top 3: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Though third, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for Xbox 360, still managed to be the top selling game throughout December, which sold 1.47 million copies. Next to it was Super Mario Galaxy with 1.4 million, and third was Guitar Hero III for PS2 with 1.25 million.
